Vidonary is built for serious business owners creating valuable intellectual property. We believe you deserve full clarity on how your content is handled, where your data is stored, how AI interacts with your work, and what rights you retain.
You retain full ownership of all content you create, upload, or generate within Vidonary. This includes:
Vidonary does not claim ownership of your content. We are granted a limited, non-exclusive licence solely to process, store, and transmit your content for the purpose of providing the service to you. We do not sell, license, distribute, or repurpose your content outside of delivering the platform's functionality.
Vidonary allows you to publish content directly to platforms including YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn.
When you choose to publish:
We also retrieve performance analytics (views, likes, comments, shares, and watch time) from your connected accounts to provide insights within Vidonary. This data is used solely to help you understand and improve your content performance.
We act as a technical facilitator at your instruction — nothing more.
Vidonary uses YouTube API Services to enable you to upload, schedule, and manage videos on your own YouTube channel, and to display performance metrics for videos you have published through Vidonary. The YouTube data we access on your behalf includes your Google account email, your YouTube channel ID and title, video IDs and URLs for content you publish through Vidonary, and aggregated analytics (views, likes, comments, watch time, average view duration, and click-through rate) for those videos. We do not access content outside the channels you have explicitly connected.
By using Vidonary's YouTube features, you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service. Vidonary's use of information received from YouTube API Services is also governed by the Google Privacy Policy. You can revoke Vidonary's access to your Google and YouTube account at any time by visiting Google's security settings page. Disconnecting via that page, or through Vidonary's Settings → Social Connections, deletes the OAuth tokens we hold for your account.
Vidonary's infrastructure is built entirely on Amazon Web Services (AWS) in the eu-west-1 (Ireland) region. This includes:
All data is transmitted securely using HTTPS and encrypted in transit. Storage is encrypted at rest using AWS-managed encryption (S3 server-side encryption and RDS storage encryption). Application data is hosted in the EU; CloudFront uses a global edge network to deliver content quickly to users worldwide, without storing any persistent data outside the EU origin.
To deliver core functionality, we integrate with trusted providers. Each is used solely to operate the platform — we do not sell or commercially share your content or personal data with any third party.

Vidonary uses AI to assist you with content creation. AI-powered features include:
All AI features are delivered via secure API access to Anthropic (our primary AI provider) and OpenAI (used as a fallback). We do not use consumer AI products (such as ChatGPT or claude.ai) to process your data. API access operates under separate commercial terms with stronger data protections.
No. Your content is not used to train AI models.
Both Anthropic and OpenAI's API terms state that data submitted via their APIs is not used for model training by default. We access these services exclusively through their APIs under commercial agreements that reinforce this.
We do not operate under OpenAI's Zero Data Retention (ZDR) programme. Under standard API terms, inputs and outputs may be retained by OpenAI for up to 30 days for trust and safety purposes before being deleted. Anthropic's standard API terms apply a similar policy. In neither case is your content used to train models.
We do not permit your content to be used to train third-party AI systems.
When you use an AI feature, only the minimum information necessary to generate a response is sent via a secure API request. Specifically:
Your AI conversation history and preferences are stored within your Vidonary account to improve your experience over time. This data is logically isolated — it is never accessible to other users.
Vidonary uses strictly necessary cookies to operate the platform. These cookies cannot be switched off — without them, the platform would not function.
These cookies are essential for the website and platform to function properly. They are used for:

Retention: Usually session-based or up to 12 months depending on security requirements.
Vidonary provides access to stock video and image assets via Pexels, which offers free-to-use assets under its licence terms. A built-in royalty-free music library is also available within the editor for use in your projects.
Stock assets remain subject to their original licence terms. You are responsible for ensuring compliance with those licence terms when publishing content externally.
You may delete your content at any time from within the platform.
When you delete your account:
Backups are retained for up to 7 days before being permanently purged. When an account is deleted, all associated data is removed within the same 7-day window. Anonymised system logs may be retained for security and abuse-prevention purposes.
You can delete your account from within the app (Settings) or from our account deletion page.
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@vidonary.com.
Vidonary is designed for founders, experts, and business owners creating meaningful intellectual property. We believe you should know exactly how AI interacts with your content — no ambiguity, no fine print.
We do not:
Our role is to help you create and distribute your content — not to profit from it.
If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy, the data we process (including data accessed via the YouTube API Services), or you wish to exercise any of your rights, you can reach us at:
The Vidonary mobile app collects the same account and content data described above. In addition, it requests a small number of device-level permissions, used only to provide the features you actively initiate. Each permission is requested at the point of use, and the app functions without granting them (the related feature is simply unavailable).
| Permission | Why we request it | What happens to the data |
|---|---|---|
| Camera | To record video directly in the app's built-in recorder | Recordings are uploaded to your account and stored on our AWS infrastructure (see Section 3). We do not access your camera in the background. |
| Microphone | To capture audio while recording video | Recorded audio is part of your video and stored with it. We do not access your microphone in the background. |
| Photo Library (save only) | To save a finished video to your device's photo library when you choose “Save to gallery” | This is write-only access. The app saves videos you request but cannot read, browse, or upload your existing photos or videos. |
Diagnostics. To keep the app stable, we collect crash logs and performance data via Sentry. These reports are linked to your account (your user ID and email) so we can diagnose issues you experience, and are used solely to maintain and improve the app. They are never used for advertising and we do not track you across other apps or websites.
The app does not access your location, contacts, calendars, health data, or any device identifiers used for advertising or tracking.
